American Oil Slaves, Russian Smack-Down, and Recycle Water

by Ranger Man on November 27, 2007

Wow, what a day for SHTF news (what day isn’t?).

American Oil Slaves - Mike Huckabee states on the campaign trail, “Every time we put our credit card in the gas pump, we’re paying so that the Saudis get rich – filthy, obscenely rich, and that money then ends up going to funding madrassas, that train the terrorists. America has allowed itself to become enslaved to Saudi oil. It’s absurd. It’s embarrassing.”

*sigh*

What a dilemma. How do we balance our desire to rid our dependence on the “black gold” that is oil while simultaneously fulfilling our NEED to keep and maintain gas sucking super-truck, mega-jeep, Hummer SHTF rides? Well that’s a very good question, and it’s why www.shtfblog.com is here to help. You gotta scope this dude for all of your super-efficient, high power get-out-of-dodge ride needs. He’s been making the news big time, because . . . he’s insane, insane I say! Seriously, his conversions are crazy. He’s currently doing work for Da Terminator and Neil Young.

Russian Smack-Down – So Russian parliamentary elections are to be held in two weeks and a peaceful anti-Putin rally takes place . . . . that’s right, you guessed it - SMACK DOWN! About 200 protestors - jailed. Bush said he’s “deeply concerned.” Meanwhile Putin accused the U.S. of meddling in Russian affairs and hoping to “delegitimize” the elections by pushing independent election monitors to stop monitoring the process.

Recycle Water - They say future wars will be fought over water, and I believe it. Tribal factions are already doing it in Africa. More pollution, more people, fewer resources, it only makes sense. California is on target by trying to treat and reuse wastewater. http://www.recordnet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071123/A_NEWS/711230322

Oil Watch - $97.70 (as of the close yesterday).

Anything we can do to reduce our dependence on foreign oil is a good thing.
