Pay attention SHTFblog party peeps - the writing is on the wall. Clinton and Obama are set to debate April 16 in Philadelphia. Recognize that date? It’s the one year anniversary of the Virginia Tech shootings. Coincidence?
Read the following from this page:
Clinton and Obama favor some kind of ban on assault weapons, something McCain opposes.
“I … think we should reinstate the assault weapons ban (that expired in 2004) in order to give our police officers a fighting chance against the criminals on the street with these military-style assault weapons,” Clinton said Tuesday.
“I am not in favor of concealed weapons,” Obama said. “I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations.”
What the hell is that last statement!? How is a law abiding, honest citizen carrying a concealed weapon going to result in more innocent people getting shot? Oh, he must be referring to people like the Virginia Tech shooter as being “innocent”. Because you know if anyone had been packing nearby that day they’d have ended the situation. Obama’s outlandish statements actually makes him MORE liberal on gun control than Hillary!
I remember while I was growing up I asked my dad one day why he bothered to have a concealed weapons permit when he never bothered to carry a gun concealed. His response was something like, “one day they may no longer allow it, and if that’s the case, they might grandfather those that already have one.” He had a permit not because he needed one, but because one day he might, and he wanted to secure that right.
In light of Obama’s statements, the question becomes: “Got Concealed Weapons Permit?”
More:
Ramsey, the associate director of the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, says each of the three presidential candidates has, to some degree, supported the center’s efforts to regulate the gun trade. That hasn’t been the case in an election year for a long time.
Still living in denial? Read it again:
Ramsey, the associate director of the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, says each of the three presidential candidates has, to some degree, supported the center’s efforts to regulate the gun trade. That hasn’t been the case in an election year for a long time.
I asked before if, given the political climate, it makes sense to buy something that might be banned on credit. I also have another past post on Obama and gun control.
Got 30 round mags? If there’s a ban coming down the line, they’ll have a better return on your money than gold, which has actually been going down of late.
If you want something likely to face the ban, folks, I’ll say it again - get it NOW. Don’t wait for the rush when everyone else finally sees the writing on the wall, and orders are backed so far up it’s a question whether your order will ever get filled.
If you think you might want a concealed weapons permit at some point in the future - get one now. They don’t cost much, you just need the appropriate safety training, training like the handgun classes offered at Weaponcraft.
For a concealed weapons forum: http://www.defensivecarry.com/
Like 5 gallon bucks sealed with rice and beans, get it before you need it. Incidentally, on that subject (buckets), I see Commander Zero has a limited number of gamma seal bucket lids for sale.

BTW: I really appreciate those of you that have used my Amazon store and the Amazon search button in the left sidebar to conduct your Amazon shopping. It’s your way of saying “thanks” for keeping this blog up, and this is my way of saying “thanks” - thanks!
Also, thanks to JC for first bringing this Obama news to my attention.
MORE! Tomorrow’s post was fun to write. I cracked myself up!
And, not to end without a shameless book promotion plug, if you’re aiming (pun intended) to score a concealed weapons permit or you just want to improve your handgun skills, it’s pretty hard to beat the U.S. Army Pistol Marksmanship book that you can buy right here. Check the custom cover:

The book is ONLY $12.95! Heck, that’s what - the cost of ONE box of fifty shells? Do you think you’d improve your handgun skills more by kicking off an extra 50 rounds or by reading this image rich book that describes shooting stance, sight acquisition, and breathing techniques?

“Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed.” Sara Brady
“When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans … And so a lot of people say there’s too much personal freedom. When personal freedom’s being abused, you have to move to limit it. That’s what we did in the announcement I made last weekend on the public housing projects, about how we’re going to have weapon sweeps and more things like that to try to make people safer in their communities.” Bill Clinton
“This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilised nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!” Hitler
They sound aweful alike don’t they??

Hello, All i just started reading this blog but i have been bloging in Mr Rawles blog for a while. on the gun band which of course we know that is comming if a dem is elected, instead of wondering about it do something about it ,HMMMM like wait for the verdict on DC. vs Heller in which should be favorable for us like minded people. Then make it very well known that federal law suits wil be issued out to those people that break the 2nd. We all feel we are right in the way we feel and we banter in these blogs which is very easy to do but would you or we do something about it. Next Obama is barking up the wrong tree on the concealed weapons these are in our states constitutions and further more 5 states have already have informed DC if the USSC does not find for heller and there rights to concealed weapons and the right to any free man or women to own any weapon breaks the states constitutions and the contracts with the USA to become the USA( please look at the Montana ,Utah , ID, SD,ND coming into the US as states )

Rushman- Both the Hitler and Sarah Brady quotes appear to be bogus. Sorry, it’s just annoying to keep seeing these things everywhere as though they’re true.
