I guess they held conventions at multiple locations during which they told their congregants that the end is nigh. The article you referenced was for Florida. Here’s an excerpt of a press release they sent me regarding their Fort Smith, Arkansas gathering.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses have been claiming this stuff since they splintered from the 7th Day Adventist, which formed based off a guy who said the world would end at this exact moment. The moment came and went in the 1800s with them all gathered together, and instead of calling the preacher a schmuck they formed these churches. I am just saying this is nothing new for their sect. I am glad people prepare for any reason be it worries of Xenu’s return.

Scientologists and purloin a spaceship. I gather
since ending thwe world would result in a rapid loss of somewhere to put your feet.
“Bread” sounds more like some kinda desperation granola bar I’m sure the recipes has got the “red brick” part right

If the world (society etc) does end, JoHo’s just might be worth a 22 round each to make them go away.
I’ve found an easy way to deal with them. Treat them just like any other panhandler!

living with the night creatures and their clanking shopping carts in the middle of the night is a nuisance.
it’s nice to see at least SOMEONE recycling , but having filthy bums rummaging through the garbage at all hours of the night leaves allot left to be desired.
sounds like the holy rollers have tapped into the present day psyche of people planning for some tough times ahead.
think i’ll stick to SHTFblog and other sites for decent info and real skill and training versus fire and brimstone sermons..
i can eat most anything , so yeah i’ll eat the bread

My brother did some dumpster diving several years ago, and gave us the “loot”. What did we get? Two bathroom floors, a newly-tiled shower , and an entry-way. The tile company whose trash he “dove” into would throw out boxes and boxes of tile because just one tile was broken. But I guess LA would rather all that tile (and expensive tile, too) ends up in the landfill rather than actually be as “green” as they claim to be.
