I post this CNN video for two reasons: 1) so you can witness how razor wire does in fact slow down masses of people, and 2) because of all the bitching and moaning about the U.S. economy going into the toilet, you can watch this video and see exactly how lucky we are here in the U.S. – and how things will look when/if shit hits the fan.

This is relevant to Ranger Man’s Post…but first an update…
You may recal from my last post that we had partook of some wild mushrooms. Yes. those clouded our thoughts and impeded progress. But the visions it gave were splendid. I now know that elves are real. So does FlowerWoman.
We left Missouri and followed our compas north by foot. At least we thought it was north. No one in our group new that you had to follow the part of the compass needle that was painted red. You learn something new everyday. We are now in the coastal community of Brazosport Texas. FUNNY, THIS PLACE SEEMS DESERTED. But being an ex-surfer, I have to say that the wave action is great. Since we don’t watch TV, we never knew what a surfers haven this is.
We plan to spend the next few days catching and smoking fish to carry us on our journey to Northern Idaho. We are going to try rowing up the Brazos river until it connects with the Snake River in Wyoming. Just the way Lewis and Clark did. We expect to be in Idaho in a couple of weeks. Those wishing to join us can meet us where the Brazos flows through Des Moine, Iowa. If any one has some “herbs” wink wink, bring them. We are running quite low.
Now…in reply to the post on Razor wire. It will not be the policy at Camp Daisy to throw up barriers to the poor masses in need of food. Any one is welcome to partake of my cucumbers anyday.
There will be no wire. ONly a force field of love created by meditation that not even bullets can penetrate. Food will be shared and we shall all focus on increasing our libido.
Again I say, abandon your guns and find your arousal.

That “April” woman who made the anti-gun posts is welcome to join us. She sounds like a sensible woman.
One strand helps but anyone who lettered in JV track and didn’t completely let themselves go can jump over it. 3 strands in a pyramid will stop wheeled vehicles pretty quickly (it gets caught in the wheels and drive train makes a huge mess) and the man who tries to jump over it is a rarity. No group of people will get over it quickly if it is covered by a riflemen.
I once watched a squad of Marine aggresors penetrate my perimeter or 3 wire razor strand in less time then it takes me to type about. They did it like this. One young lad (probably the lowest rank of the bunch) threw himself bodily on the wire. His buddies then ran across his back and commenced to killing (figurativly of course) my SeaBees. Did not slow them down in the least. Lesson being don’t depend on concentia two much. It needs to be just one part of a system of defense to be really effective.
During one of the Haiti invasions, my platoon was securing a HQ compound and the residents kept reporting MREs missing. The compound was on a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides and ringed with triple strands of contertina (razor) wire. We caught kids who would swim hundreds of meters in the foulest polluted water, climb through the concertina wire, steal anything they could find to eat, and then they’d take it out the same way they had come – this had been going on for months and no one had ever even seen them. Lesson: Any static defense must be covered by human eyes (weapons) or else it’s worthless.

BTW…you can catch crabs with a chicken leg on a string down where you are. Hubby did it as a kid.

interesting stuff, you would think that those sheeple would be smart enough not to try to walk through a mess of razor wire, but then again they are sheeple.
good to see that in the age of computers and electronics a simple wire with razor CAN sill be effective, not that it will all the time though.

I am sure i could get through razor wire in 3 minutes with just some $5 wire cutters from the store. As others have said, it still needs to be manned. The blackberries plan does sound like a good one (having myself attempted to traverse a blackberry covered fence i can tell you it is not pleasant)
Simply throw a log or stout board onto the wire and with one fluid motion step up and over it. But combined with a chain link fence and a good guard dog this combo would be a good security perimeter.

Ok it appears that I missed another great debate with April. Damn! Now I am completely pro-gun but I will say this about April. While most of us simply talk about living the “self” or “Survival” lifestyle she is actually trying to live it. She is the other side of survivalism that is also a growing movement. She is pro small government just like the rest of us. Yes she is basically a tree hugging hippie but she does live is the great Rawles neack of the woods. As far as most of us go when you think about it she wouldn’t be a bad nieghbor to have when SHTF or worse. As far as what she said about pro-life verses pro choice really doesn’t matter because the supreme court decided why back in the day just like heller vs. DC.
But April just for the record. Out of all Violent crimes that are commited with a gun onlu 1% is committed with an assult style weapon. And the Dem. Bill Richardson who originally voted for the clinton gun ban said it did not have any effect on crime and he was wrong……..
A majority of all sporting firmarms have their history originating from the military.
Anyways there is my two-bits that don’t count for shit………..
