*rolling eyes* – seriously, folks

by Ranger Man on November 24, 2008

Anyone that took the People of the Petunia concept from my last post seriously . . . . well, I don’t know what to say about that.

I am, however, abandoning the blog. As I’ve stated before I have way too many things going on in my life, and writing SHTF posts is not at the top of my interest list. I am interested in starting another blog, but it’ll be quite different from this subject matter.

To those of you that criticize my decision to stop posting here you can 1) bite me, and 2) go start your own blog.

To the rest of you, thanks for your support and readership. You can always get your survival fix by visiting other blogs. www.survivalistnews.com is a good place to scan related blog headlines.

Good luck, and happy preparedness!

Zegon November 24, 2008

Yep, it’s about time to go underground for a lot of people. Drop out, cancel the internet, lose the IP address, destroy your hard drive, and change your home address. If you follow history, total economic collapses usually end up in totalitarian regimes. The soon to be mandatory “Volunteer Youth” will be searching the internet for us all.

Bill November 25, 2008

Thanks, Ranger Man. I enjoyed it while it lasted!

Rick November 25, 2008

Best of luck to you, whatever your reasons. I’ll miss your postings.

Greg November 25, 2008

RangerMan- Best of luck. If I could sell my 40 acres in central Florida, I’d be up there with you, instead of stuck in ‘ain’t got a clue’ Rhode Island. Zegon has got the right idea. Keep in touch and let me know of your new endovers. Greg

Bosky November 25, 2008

Aw sad to hear it, of the “collapse and preparation” blogs you were one of my fave to read. Good luck in the future!

I just feel bad that you left us immediately after obama won, as if to say, “Oh well, no more worries.” that’s pretty transparent and I’m sorry that I ever read this blog. If you just stuck around, you would have more than enough to write about. And although you set yourself up nicely to depart as obama’s poll numbers rose, by saying that you had other interestes lately, deep down you cant get mad at me for writing this, because you know that this is exactly what you planned to do when he won. we would have seen some good postings if mccain won, despite your silly bannables post.

And so, as Rangerman cammos up and prepares for the Final Hunt, we will all miss him. But let’s not let this Wake turn into a funeral. Lets instead celebrate the life we have known – the posts we have loved. Remember when you first read ‘The top ten guns?’, remember thinking ‘I’m gonna build one of those mousetraps, as soon as I can get some mice’, remember kinda being attracted to that cartool lady he used to have on his blog ? I say GATHER AROUND friends. Let us fill our glasses…(A little more, friend, I liked his blog a lot), and let us toast…To Rangerman.

..now, does anyone know if Rangerwoman is going to sell his gear ? I’ve got my eyes on that AR15….and doesn’t Rangerwoman look *good* in Black…….

sirlancelot November 26, 2008
