SHTF Blog Book for Sale

Awhile back I was contacted by some folks to see if I wanted to get a book out there in the world.  After talking with them for awhile I said, “Sure!  Why not?”

The idea is that the book is written from blog posts that we’ve already put out there, but in a format that is readable and printed in such a way that it actually makes a coherent statement.  So instead of one day you’re reading about wilderness survival from me and the next day Calamity Jane is talking about growing greens in the winter there’s now a place where it’s all nice and organized.

So let me be perfectly up front here.  Yes, I will receive some of the proceeds from this book.  Yes, this information is already available on the blog.  If you want to dig around and print it out for yourself you can absolutely do that.  If you are in tough financial straits I encourage you to save your money and do just that.

On the other hand if you would like to help support the blog and have an extra $6.00 kicking around then go ahead and get yourself a copy and thank you for your support.

Here’s what it looks like:

Thats a great idea. I’ve got a Visa Vanilla card with just a bit over $8.00 balance itching to be spent, sounds like a good cause.

    Thanks.

I will be buying one for our son who is not a prepper yet but is sympathetic to the cause. Hopefully your book will put him on the path.

    Hey, I don’t have a Kindle.

Question A: Might you print a hardcopy version at some point?

Question B: Is there a PC app or something that you can use to read Kindle books?

Jeez, I think so. Here’s the tagline:

“Follow Jarhead along on his adventures as he survives in the deep Maine woods with only a pick up truck full of beer, chips, hotdogs, guns, knives, sleeping bags, and ammo. Will he survive? Does he have the skill to make it out of the wilderness alive?”

Now that would be a survival show I would tune into. What do you think?

… and except that you like being with your wife and the kids, why would you even want to get out of the deep Maine wilderness?

My developer is trying to convince me to move to .net from
PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites for about a year and am nervous about
switching to another platform. I have heard very good
things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all
my wordpress posts into it? Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!
