It was 2005 when S last HTF in France suburbs as unemployed youths, largely offspring of Arab and African immigrants, formed roving gangs to SMASH, DESTROY and SET FIRE to anything and everything in sight in nearly 300 different towns.
Well, they’re back at it only now they’re using shotguns and Molotov cocktails. Scope this quote: Patrice Ribeiro, a police officer and senior union official, told RTL radio Tuesday, “A line was crossed last night, that is to say, they used weapons, they used weapons and fired on the police. This is a real guerrilla war.”
Thirty officers have been hit with shotgun pellets, and word on the SHTF street is that the roaming bands of youths are getting more shotguns (people in France can own a shotgun so long as they have a license to do so).
The Socialist mayor of Sarcelles said nothing has changed since 2005, the youths are still unemployed and ANGRY. He described it as a tinderbox waiting for a spark. Well that spark has come.
Question of the Day:
Angry youths are setting fire to everything in sight in YOUR town, suburb or city. At first you figure it’ll just pass and police will take control, but the police are surprised by the ferocity of the roaming gangs, and are quickly pushed back. The gangs start securing buildings to better organize while they rape and pillage the innocent. YOU are trapped inside the suburb – What do you do? Are you prepared for such an event? Would you hide? Would you try to escape? Would you fight the roaming gangs of punks?
These are the questions that keep us up at night.

Nay, Ranger Man is 100% NOT down with roving bands of hoodlums. They would find me to be no ally.
Really good question and scenario. Thankfully, my little burg is less than likely to meet something like this (hillbillies don’t riot). But, I could imagine one of the better organized mobile gangs coming in during a bad economic downturn and attempting to set up shop here. Ahem, hillbillies do so luv their guns — problem would be resolved.
I tend to agree that hillbillies love their guns. Even hillbillies in the burbs (maybe that is an oxy moron) love their guns. I doubt Boseman, MT or Boise, ID would have huge problems with roving gangs. Nor would thesleepy mountain college town I reside in. For that case the best (and maybe only) thing to do is close the blinds, put on the pistol, load the shotgun and the rifle. Then just wait it out. Assuming you have atleast a couple days worth of food and water just don’t go anywhere. In that kind of a situation from looking at past riots all you need is to be able to hold out for a few days and order will be restored.
The longer the timeline gets the less realistic riding it out in the city gets.
