A Personal Note…

Mrs Jarhead gave birth today to our daughter Natalie.  Everything went well and mother and daughter are both doing awesome.   She weighed in at 8 lbs 5 oz, was 20 1/2 inches long, and is beautiful!

I had promised a few people I’d let them know when she came, so here’s that quick note!

Absolutely fantastic, congratulations to you both! Your world just shrank, perspectives will change & that’s a great thing.

Natalie was a name we chose for our daughter but at the last minute -literally, my wife wanted a different name. To this day, 17 years later, I wished we had given her that beautiful name.

    You’re a blessed man my friend ~

Congratulations! Enjoy every minute — especially in these first few months, they grow & change so quickly! I hope you both take every opportunity to treasure that baby-soft skin, inhale that clean-baby scent, and fall even more in love with each other as you raise that precious child.

As others have said, enjoy these baby days while they last… seems like just yesterday I was changing diapers, and now my daughter is a Junior in College. The time does fly by.

Congratulations…..I trust you are using cloth diapers and Natalie is being breastfed…..been there done that -and it’s the most sustainable thing you can do at the beginning of someone’s life. Try to get some sleep here and there…..
