Some ammo appears to be coming back in stock – for a premium. It may be worth the purchase if you want some sooner rather than later. If time is on your side, your best bet may be to place a backorder through Optics Planet and get the ammo in the order in which it was received once it’s back in supply.

Why Bulk Ammo Deals are Hard to Find
Ammo shortages can be frustrating. It’s frustrating for manufacturers, too. In fact, Jason Vanderbrink, president of Federal, CCI, Speer, and Remington Ammunition said it’s frustrating for them. In particular, the hate mail he gets from people who create rumors about secret warehouses and only selling to select customers. Watch it here:
Be patient when buying ammunition. Buy in bulk when you can. As Vanderbrink notes, if an estimated 7 million new gun owners each purchased two boxes of ammunition (a conservative estimate), that would equate to 700,000 rounds. These businesses cannot ramp up that kind of demand overnight.
All of this underscores the importance of buying it cheap and stacking it deep!
