Let’s set politics aside for a second. I know that’s hard to do whenever the words “White House” are mentioned, impossible for some, but let’s try, just for a moment.
One thing that should be hard to disagree on is that the Obama’s addition of an organic vegetable garden represents something way overdue. Granted, it was a photo opportunity, please the liberal folk, etc; but it’s more than that. Anything coming out of the White House is a message, and having an organic vegetable garden on the grounds sends a powerful public message. That message says:
- hey YOU – get outside, be physical, don’t be lazy
- hey YOU – eat local
- hey YOU – think about what’s going into your body
That’s the way I hear it, but I admittedly have dramatic tendencies. Here is an image of the garden from tourist lane outside the south fence:

BTW: Want the White House Garden Cookbook? …. *shrug* …. I had to ask. Hey, here’s a white house backyard garden news story, focused on a dude from Maine even:

It’s really a wonderful thing to have the usurper’s bitch planting a garden on our property. Too bad he’s doing all he can to legislate against any and all who are trying to grow their own food, raise their own cattle, produce their own milk, and more- those who are concerned not only what’s going into their body, but how they’re going to feed themselves and family after the shit flies. As in all this bat-eared slob does, he speaks with two tongues- one for his cronies and another for we piss-ons in the hinterland.
So I have only one thing to say to him and any who support any facet of his work- piss on them, one and all.
