I posted recently on the U.S. intelligence report that states Iran stopped its nuclear weapons program back in 2003 (the post is here). Now, if you listen to the Shas minister of Israel he’ll tell you that the U.S. is responding to reports on Iran the same way it responded to reports on Auschwitz (which were largely ignored at the beginning). He proclaims that “We must not play dumb in the face of the report’s findings.”
Minister Cohen asserted that the report must have been “ordered by someone who wants dialogue with Tehran” and formulated an historical analogy to express just how serious the situation is: “In the middle of the previous century the Americans received intelligence reports from Auschwitz on the packed trains going to the extermination camps. They claimed then that the railways were industrial. Their attitude today to the information coming out of Iran on the Iranians’ intention to produce a nuclear bomb reminds one of their attitude during the holocaust.”
“Even if the world lacks clear evidence, the (Iranian) agenda is clear. We have no doubt that it is (President Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad and the Ayatollahs who are directing the program. Israel has gathered enough information to obligate the international community to continue with its intensive activity against creating a bomb,” he said.
This, to me, means one thing: if the United States isn’t going to deal with Iran and their production of nuke juice – Israel will. Can you blame them? Is it not Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who continually rails against Israel saying things like they “need to be wiped off the map”? Indeed it is.
This would be the equivalent to Mexico developing nuke juice while continually saying the United States needs to be destroyed. Do you think the U.S. would just sit around and listen, or do you think they’d deliver the ole bunker buster action straight to the Mexican nuke dome?
It was in July of last year, after Israel unsuccessfully tried to destroy Hizbullah targets, that the U.S. approved Israel’s request for accelerated deliveries of U.S. built bunker buster bombs. They’ve got ’em now, and you can be guaranteed that if Israel decides to put the smack down on Iran – they’ll use bunker busters to do it. This leads to the question of – “what then?”
Good question, I’ll tell you. Iran lights up the sky against Israel and Hizbullah invades; the entire region erupts in violence, death and mayhem, and the United States inevitably jumps into the action. This, of course, all equates to a larger national debt, more lives lost, INSANE oil prices and economic meltdown. In other words – SHTF.
Can you say, “bunker buster action“? Sure, I knew you could.
