A couple of weeks ago I issued my first challenge to the readers.
It’s simple really, store more water.
I loved the response. People trying to make do in Apartments. People with 2 liter bottles and gallon milk jugs. And of course, people with excuses.
I have barrels but have failed to fill them, fail. In my defense I have a well and pump so i am waiting for a reason. They just clash with my Mid-century Modern decor. -Pineslayer
I won’t be throwing any stones though, my own efforts have been hit or miss on this one. I tried to repair part of my rainwater collection system and I went out this weekend to find my repair job leaking. Tricky business water.
Without any further ado, we had a winner too!
So far I only have about 220 gallons in drums that’s gets cycled into plants and trees every 6 months or so and a 20,000 gallon pool with the means of creating drinking water. It is nice having the pool but it’s a lot of work for continued use. Seeing as I live in Arizona we only get a minimal amount of rain so rain barrels only collect dirt.
All you need to do to collect your winnings is send me your wrist size. Just wrap a tape measure around your wrist and tell me how many inches it reads. And send me your mailing address, or your super secret PO box, or whatever.
I’m thinking about continuing the challenges! What do you think? Sound like fun? Do you want better prizes or harder challenges? Sound off in the comments!
